There will be major changes to some bus services in North Walsall on Sunday 25th April 2010. These changes will reflect modern journeys that people want to make.
Partners Arriva Midlands, Centro, Midland, Midland Rider, National Express West Midlands and Walsall MBC are working together to deliver a better bus network.
We recently undertook consultation and market research in Aldridge, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Streetly and Walsall to ask local people and local representatives about their views on the current network and would like to thank everyone who took part to help shape the revised network.
The consultation showed that people agreed with our aims to simplify the many bus routes and bus numbers to make using the bus network easier and to provide easier/better access links and improved co-ordination between services, interchanges and rail stations to key destinations such as the Manor Hospital and New Cross Hospital.
The network will begin from start of service on Sunday 25th April, and in the run up to that date you will see some numbers and timetables changing at bus stops and shelters in key centres, and on roads across North Walsall.
Listed below are bus routes and changes that will occur.

Improved Links
The new network will see links improved between communities and district centres in North Walsall such as Aldridge and Bloxwich, Aldridge and Pelsall and Walsall and Lower Farm. There will also be better evening and Sunday services.
We have also looked at improving interchanging between services at Walsall Bus Station and your stand location may change. Please look at information boards for details.
We are agreeing a series of improvements to the bus network over the next three years. These will include newer buses, new infrastructure such as bus stops and shelters and more Real Time information to buses and stops in Walsall.
Network West Midlands is the name that connects all public transport in the West Midlands metropolitan area (Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton).
Centro, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority is responsible for developing and promoting public transport in the region.
Centro works closely with the West Midlands metropolitan district councils and the private companies who operate bus, train and Metro services. Centro also provides subsidy to the operator for all or some journeys on routes 8A, 19, 23, 24, 25, 33, 35, 56A, 63A, 74, 75, 76, 78, 88 and 342.
