Get an Identity Card

We are aware that if you're under 16, but look older, it can be a hassle proving your age when using public transport. The U16 card takes care of that. You can use it to get a child fare when paying cash, or you can use it when buying child rate season tickets.

The U16 Photocard

U16 photocard

  • Under 16? Use this card to get child rate travel on the bus, train and Metro.
  • Even if you look older the U16 card proves that you are entitled to a child's fare and child rate season ticket.
  • It's FREE. Just complete section 1-2 of the Centrocare application form.
  • Your photo is engraved to prevent fraudulent use just in case you lose it.

The 16-18 Photocard

  • Are you a student?
  • Under 18 before 1st September in the academic year? In full time education, (minimum 12 hours per week)?
  • Live in the Network West Midlands area?

Then you could be eligible for the 16-18 photocard which entitles you to child rate season tickets or child fares to and from school or college within the Network West Midlands area.†

  • Valid for the 2009/2010 academic year only, the card costs just £7.50.
  • Available from Centro by post only.
  • Application forms are available from your school or college. Ask your teacher/tutor for details.

† Not valid for purchase of child rate day tickets ie. one day child networkn2network daytripper or child daysaver etc or for the purchase of off-peak tickets for travel outside the Network West Midlands area. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that they have the correct photocard for their age.
