Changes to Hail and Ride in Sandwell
The Hail and Ride part of the services will be replaced with fixed stopping points. This will allow Centro in partnership with the bus operator to provide public transport information at each stop and can help improve reliability and safety.
428 bus service
Centro will be making changes to the stopping arrangements for the 428 bus service.
Fixed stopping points have been agreed and these are detailed below:
Chestnut Road
- adjacent no.34 and side of 1 Lilac Grove; opposite no. 55
- adjacent no.53; opposite no. 30
- adjacent no.66; opposite no.85
- adjacent no.85; opposite no.66
- adjacent no.7; opposite The Croft pub
- adjacent wooden fence; opposite no.15
419, 429 bus services
Centro will be making changes to the stopping arrangements for the 419 and 429 bus services.
Fixed stopping points have been agreed and these are detailed below:

The poles are due to be installed during February 2010 and once the work has been completed passengers will no longer be able to hail the bus. They will have to use fixed stops.
