Centro and our partners in Network West Midlands are committed to maintaining customer privacy and maintaining the security of any personal data we receive from you, if any. We are committed to responsible data management and subscribe to the principles of data protection legislation in the United Kingdom.

Visitors may be asked to enter basic personal information. This information on our database is not available for sale and use by third parties, beyond the essential requirement for credit card validation during purchase. The information is used solely for our billing and payment purposes, and notifying customers of future updates to our products or services. Information may be stored manually / electronically. Personal information collected via the website will be processed in accordance with, and will comply with, the Data Protection Act 1998.

We do not receive or store any credit card information via our website. This information is taken and processed on our behalf by the secure servers of Iris Software and Services. They may need to transfer some information outside the EU area for the purposes of credit card validation and authentication.

The website will automatically track certain information such as your IP address and browser identification in the course of your use of the website. This information is used only for system administration and for providing statistics to evaluate use of this site.

We do not use cookies for collecting personal information from this site. (A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive.)

Each web page access is recorded in a log file. The contents of the log file may be analysed to determine how many visitors we serve, what pages they look at most, and from where they connect. This information is not shared with anyone outside our organisation.

Our website contains links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question for more information before divulging any personal information.

Services Provided by our Customer Services Team

If you apply for a Travel Concession, Season Ticket or contact our Customer Relations Team, in most cases we will need to collect and use your personal information. We will store this information during the period that your enquiry / entitlement or application for goods and services remains active and may retain your information for a period of up to six years after your last contact. In some circumstances it may be necessary to retain your information for longer.

To join the Direct Debit scheme we need your completed application form -including personal information and bank account details. We will store your personal information in order to send out your tickets and set up the Direct Debit payments you have agreed to. We will share your personal information with a credit reference agency before approving your application to join the Direct Debit Scheme and may also share your information with other companies for the purpose of fraud prevention and to pursue debtors. When the ticket holder and person responsible for making payment under the Direct Debit agreement are not the same we will store the personal information of both persons.

In order to decide whether you are eligible for Travel Concessions and services provided by Centro we may share your personal information with your General Practitioner or other health care professional, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, School/Education Provider, Local Social Services Department, the Department for Work and Pensions and any other organisation deemed appropriate by Centro in the interest of processing your application. Sharing your information with one or more of these organisations may assist Centro to process your application for Travel Concessions. We may also share your information with approved Centro contractors/suppliers who produce and dispatch Travel Passes on the organisations' behalf.

Where you have made an enquiry about a service or facility not directly operated by Centro we may share your information with other organisations. We will only do this if we consider it necessary to fully respond to the enquiry that you have made. In doing so we will contact you to tell you that your information has been passed on and that the appropriate company may contact you directly regarding the comments you have made. We may tell you this verbally if your enquiry is made by telephone.
